OK moving on from yesterday (please) - this little beauty is an example of what Clarins do really well. Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate should be in everyone's skin SOS kit.
Containing only plant oils (yay!) this is an extremely gentle serum/oil that:
- soothes irritation with fatty acids from soy and avocado
- reduces redness with licorice and marjoram
- increases the skin's resistance to external aggressors
- contains fat soluble Vitamin A which is the most gentle formula for the skin.
This is a staple in my travel bag if I'm going on a plane - it's light so can be reapplied (long haul!) and doesn't clog pores - at all.
Use under moisturiser am and pm.
One of my staple products and highly recommended.

Ooh, this sounds rather splendid.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be the best way to incorporate it into a Hydralon routine? Best to alternate? Or use every now and again?
Hydraluron on top. Then moist.
DeleteThis sounds lovely and that it doesn't clog pores, even better :)
ReplyDeleteSounds nice indeed, especially since I just got a lovely department store voucher for Clarins. I admit yesterday's post left me a bit worried that they were losing their "mojo", so to say...
ReplyDeleteNo definitely not losing their mojo - just annoying re that product!
DeleteHi Caroline, this sounds almost too good to be true. Since it has Vitamin A in it would it help to unclog pores? Am desperate for a product to help me unclog pores but not Retin-A. x
ReplyDeleteIt would be very gentle - its fat soluble vit A which is milder in this strength anyway
DeleteThis is another Clarins product that has been added to my wish list. My poor bank balance. x
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, may I ask you if this product would help my skin?. Every so often I get irritated red skin around my nose, the creases. it starts off red and stingy, then the skin gets very dry, so much so I can pick it off. Am not sure if its dermatitis or an allergy. I even stopped using my beloved moringa balm. This started up in this past year since I turned 40. Can dermitis just flare up? Sorry for asking when this isn't a clinic.
ReplyDeleteJust bought it - this weather is driving my skin crazy! FYI it's currently on offer at escentual.
ReplyDeleteOn another not what do you think of Kiehls Midnight recovery?
I have used this for ooh, nearly 20 years! It's fantastic for helping the red marks left from spots.....whenever I have ANY spot, my skin marks, but this works wonders. I totally recommend it! I just wish it was cheaper, though saying that, it lasts for AGES and the little pump dispenser means you don't waste any.
ReplyDeleteI was watching a Sali Hughes video the other day. She said that when you have LITTLE money buy a serum from a company that has LOTS. She gave some examples,Olay 3 point serum etc. Just wondering Caroline, is there a specific 'line' you would recommend that would be affordable for serums and night creams please. Until recently, I have spent quite a bit on more expensive products, but sadly, for the moment cannot afford to replace them. Need something along the lines of L'oreal/ Vichy/ Olay etc. Thank you for your advice.
ReplyDeleteIm not a massive Clarins fan, I always find they leave my skin feeling oily when it isn't :(

since I read your post about 'the review that never was' I've decided to check the ingredients of other Clarins products that I've been wanting for some time now. sadly I have to say that I made the shocking discovery that a lot of their products contain bad stuff! at least stuff that my sensitive skin won't tolerate.. an example would be the exfoliating toner (alcohol and fragrance are very high on the ingredient list). so from now on it seems I can't trust Clarins any more :(
ReplyDeleteit makes me sad that companies who claim to specialise in skincare put so many irritating ingredients in their products.
I want to try this but its quite expensive!

Hi Caroline- I was wondering if you knew very much about the rodan and field skincare line? They are the same dermatologists behind proactiv- a very popular regimen in the US for teenagers with acne. I have a friend touting its praises but I have very complicated skin (sensitive, acne, and wrinkles) that I have finally gotten under control with Darphin and I am a little nervous about trying something new.
ReplyDeleteVery curious about this product! Can't wait to try it.
